Sri Padaya

Sri pada is a sacred mountain in Sri Lanka. One of the few places where followers of the world's four major religions congregate is the mountain of Sri Pada. The mountain rises to a height of 7,360 feet and is located in the Rathnapura district. Even though it is only one of the two tallest mountains, it rises majestically by itself, has a conical shape, and provides an unhindered view of both land and sea. Buddha made three trips to Sri Lanka, according to the famous history book of Sri Lanka, the Mahawamsa. The Solosmasthana of Sri Lanka is where he traveled last, from Kelaniya through Sri Pada and finally to Digavaphi. According to legend, Buddha accepted the invitation of the Deity Saman and imprinted his footprint on the mountain's summit rock (Saman Deviyo).

There are species of animals and plants unique to Lanka. There are many ways to mountain of Sri Pada. Hatton Road, Ratnapura Road and Kuruwita Road are the main roads. Kuruwita Road is also known as Jungle Road. The journey here is very difficult but beautiful. Apart from this, there etc.are many roads like Maliboda road, Sadagalathanna road etc. Siripa is a journey we all must take.
